August marks my one-year anniversary at Redhead. I was thinking about how I might celebrate. Dye my hair red? Tattoo our little mark on my body? While I do love dyeing my hair and getting tattoos, I should probably just share a few interesting tidbits about Redhead in a blog post … for now. *wink*

If you’ve been in our office, you noticed the extremely large R-E-D on our wall. Before our building was revitalized, our office was a dollar store. When Red moved in, Jen asked if she could keep the large R, E, and D from the DollaR storE sign on the building.

While some of the wood planks have been replaced, 75 percent of the floor is the original stuff from 1909.

This is Jen’s “office” but she is rarely working in it. Instead, she sits next to me in the bullpen. She must not mind my constant humming and singing.

Fun fact: Louise is a real cat, but has never graced the cover of our quarterly publication. She would go on walks with her human/pooch family in Old Town until she became too feisty and retired to her cozy apartment. Now our publication roams the streets with wit and sass in honor of Louise.

We enjoy drinking wine out of teacups.

We have a basement! What’s in it? Basement-like things. The spray booth is down there, so when I need to mat a project for a presentation, to the dungeon, I go. BUT, the stairs are pink.

Apparently, our place looks inviting because we often have random people stop in a couple of times a month. For example, on Jan. 13, a man came in and asked if it was Friday. It was Friday.
